On March 9, a video developed by Amnesty International, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) and the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) was screened during the 49th session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC49). The video introduced the gender-focused human rights education work of Dejana Stosic from Serbia. On March 16, at the General Debate, held in hybrid format at the UN Office at Geneva, the NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education and Learning, currently chaired by Elisa Gazzotti of SGI, delivered a joint statement. The statement called on Member States to submit their midterm reports on the Fourth Phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education toward the review of progress in the national implementation of human rights education and training.
