Commemorating the Treaty of Tlatelolco

On February 14, Soka Gakkai Mexico (SGMex) General Director Nereo Ordaz Anzurez participated in a ceremony commemorating the 55th anniversary of the Treaty of Tlatelolco (the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean). Held at the Foreign Ministry of Mexico, the event was attended by high-level diplomats from many of the 33 signatory nations as well as representatives of civil society. SGMex has collaborated over many years with the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (OPANAL), the intergovernmental organization that ensures compliance with the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
